Celine is a Doctor of Pharmacy. She has over 12 years of experience in numerous international pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer and Genzyme, where she occupied various roles in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Operations. Her experience also includes cell therapy and regenerative medicine, and medical devices.

Implementing robust processes and knowledge from big pharma into small start-up is now the core of her interest. She currently works at Resonance Health, a UWA spin-off, and has recently launched her own consulting company, Up Compliance.

Matt is a biomedical engineering researcher and medical device entrepreneur with a mechanical engineering degree from The University of Western Australia. In his PhD studies at Curtin University he co-developed an  expandable orthopaedic screw which spun-out into REX Ortho. He is also a co-inventor and co-founder of Cervical ChinUp.

Matt is currently at Stanford University as a Global Faculty in Training Fellow at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, as well as being an Endeavour Executive Fellow. Later in 2018, he will work across Curtin University and St John of God Hospital to establish bioengineering capability, in addition to being Perth Biodesign’s co-Course Director.


Intan is a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur focused on developing medical devices. A graduate of the University of Western Australia in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce, she is a Research Associate at Curtin University where her PhD studies have focused on developing a novel expandable orthopaedic screw, which has spun-out into REX Ortho.  She is also the co-founder and CEO of Cervical ChinUp. 

A SPARK Co-Lab Design Course 2016 alumnus, Intan is currently at Stanford University, helping at Otoinnovation Lab and observing the Stanford Biodesign Innovation classes, before returning to be Perth Biodesign's co-Course Director.

As Principal of Jane Harries & Associates, Jane has 25 years of Human Resources experience internationally across a range of organisations and sectors including manufacturing, energy, retail and hospitality.
 
She has held senior executive roles and has extensive experience in business integration, mergers and acquisitions. Jane has a particular interest in aligning individual, network and organisational performance to achieve outcomes through a focus on people and strategy development.
Mike has served as CEO of Linear Clinical Research since April 2016.  In that time WA’s only dedicated early phase clinical research unit has grown significantly, earning a national Business Services Award in 2017. Prior to Linear, Michael was based in Silicon Valley as the health lead for Palantir Technologies.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia as well as an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he also completed the Stanford Biodesign Course. He has acted as a mentor and faculty for SPARK Co-Lab's various course offerings since 2016.
 
Kath is a physician and University of Western Australia MBA alumni. Currently she is the WA investment manager for Brandon Capital Partners’ Medical Research Commercialisation Fund, and Executive Director of OncoRes Medical.

She was previously an investment manager at Stoneridge Ventures, and a director of Cerulean medical and Dimerix.  Kath currently sits on Curtin University's commercialisation advisory board as well as being a founder and director of SPARK Co-Lab.

Kate is a marketing and communications specialist with a broad range of experience across science, technology, health and innovation sectors..
 
She spent a significant part of her career in Europe and the US where she worked extensively with Microsoft. Since returning to Perth, she has worked for a number of local marketing agencies. Kate now runs her own consultancy providing communications services to a range of clients from start-ups to government, with a particular focus on helping innovators tell their stories.
Peter is an ENT surgeon scientist working as faculty at Stanford University, with an adjunct position at The University of Western Australia.
 
He is a founder of Auration Biotech, created out of Stanford's SPARK program, and also Flotherm, a device company created in Stanford University's Biodesign course. He acted as Principal Investigator for this device in its first trial, and consults for a number of Bay Area medical device companies. Peter is a founder and director of SPARK Co-Lab.

Adam is a corporate finance executive with a range of experience advising many of Australia's leading corporations undertaking corporate and commercial transactions, both as legal advisor and in investment banking, and as a corporate consultant. 

Adam has particular expertise in corporate and commercial law, focusing on governance and risk. He also has experience in transaction structuring, management and execution.


Adam is co-founder and joint managing director of Discovery Capital Partners, Executive Chairman of Acacia Coal, and co-founder and director of SPARK Co-Lab.
